Adsum for Women & Children

The Adsum website was a special project for us, and we were thrilled when Adsum asked us to help them redevelop their online presence.  

Adsum means "I Am Here"

Adsum provides a range of services and support for women & children in times of need, operating out of four locations within HRM. 

First and foremost was an updated design that reflectes the Adsum brand.  Harmonic brought in HM Design for this task, and we think the results were spectacular. 

The information architecture of the site was updated to clean the number of items cluttering the site, and to also make the most important parts of the site accessible first.  For example, a prominent Donate button and the emergency contact phone number are displayed in the upper right corner of the site.

Other site features include:

• "Friends of Adsum", allowing Adsum to profile special contributors from the community, in terms of volunteers and donors. 
• Home page slideshow, allowing Adsum to bring priority attention to topics of current interest, including upcoming events and special areas of the site
• Upcoming events (Adsum hosted and 3rd party events)
• News
• Photo albums and videos (YouTube integration)
• Social media links
• Integration of Google Maps to help women & children easily find an Adsum shelter suitable for them
